Corbezzolo Honey (Rustichella d'Abruzzo)

From Sardinia, Corbezzolo Honey is derived from the flowers of an indigenous fruiting shrub whose leaves, roots, and bark are used medicinally. This honey is dark, nearly opaque, and faintly aromatic of the deep forest. It has an intense flavor of raw nuts and dry citrus, and is slightly smoky. Its complex, bitter fruit flavors dominate the sweetness.
