Crystallized ginger is young slices of gingerroot cooked in a cane sugar syrup. Ginger aids digestion, so with with the crystallized ginger piece's hot spicy, peppery flavor, they can be eaten as a snack, or used in baking and in desserts. Use as you would use chocolate chips in cookies, or add to salsas, served with fish. Top your favorite cereal, or put a handful into waffle or pancake batter. Be creative.
